Application Scenarios
Where this program fits
- Material Composition State the required fibre composition and percentages separately from descriptions such as flannel, fleece or plush. These terms alone do not establish fibre content. If composition is undecided, describe the intended use and performance priorities so material availability and suitability can be reviewed.
- GSM GSM means grams per square metre: a measure of material weight per unit area. Specify the target GSM, acceptable tolerance and whether the requirement applies to the fabric or a defined part of the finished construction. GSM alone does not establish warmth, softness or durability; assess it alongside composition, construction and the reference sample.
- Size Provide finished length and width with units and tolerances. State whether fringe, binding or other edge details are included in those measurements, and whether the requirement applies before or after washing. List quantities separately for each size.
- Surface / Finishing Describe the required texture, pile appearance, colour and finish on each side. If brushing, embossing, printing or another treatment is requested, provide a reference and ask for feasibility confirmation. Identify any requirements relating to shedding, pilling or appearance after care so they can be reviewed as part of the specification.
- Edge Construction Specify the desired edge treatment, such as a hem, binding or overlocked finish, for technical review. Include edge width, thread colour, corner treatment and label position where relevant. Confirm the selected construction on the approved sample.
